About Anita Verma, M.D.

Anita Verma, M.D. is a board-certified psychiatrist. She completed her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and her residency training at UT Southwestern and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Prior to being at Talkspace, Dr. Verma worked as an outpatient attending psychiatrist and assistant professor at Mount Sinai Hospital and NYU Langone. She additionally trained with ABC News as a medical journalist consultant while completing her psychiatry residency. She specializes in working with young adults, people of color, LGBTQ+ populations, and healthcare workers, with additional focuses on women's mental health, cultural concerns and healthcare advocacy.
